MBFC Overview

MBFC has promoted the business and economic welfare of Mississippi by assisting in the financing of public and private projects throughout the Magnolia State. MBFC serves as a statewide conduit issuer and acts on behalf of the borrower to access incentives, financial markets, and low-cost capital.

MBFC acts as a “conduit” issuer on behalf of a borrowing entity. Entities do not borrow from MBFC, but rather through MBFC, using MBFC as access to certain statutory incentives and/or lower-cost capital.

Any corporation, partnership, LLC, or similar entity should consider the MBFC program. Program incentives help to reduce capital project investment requirements along with possible favorable borrowing costs, this program works well with a wide variety of private enterprises looking to locate or expand in Mississippi.
